Bible App Commentary in Genesis Chapter 2 Bible Verses
King James Bible

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Bible App Commentary of Bible Verses of Section 1 Genesis 2

This section is an index to the historical backdrop of the creation, all the more especially clarifying and developing that piece of the history which relates promptly to man, the most loved of this lower world. We have in it, I. The foundation and blessing of the Sabbath, which was made for man, to assist his heavenliness and solace (v. 1-3). II. An increasingly specific record of man’s creation, as the middle and rundown of the entire work (v. 1-7). III. A depiction of the garden of Eden, and the putting of man in it under the commitments of law and agreement (v. 8-17). IV. The production of the lady, her marriage to the man, and the establishment of the law of marriage (v. 18, and so on.).

Bible App Commentary of Bible Verses 1-3 We have here, I. The settlement of the kingdom of nature, in God’s resting from crafted by creation, v. 1, v. 2. Here watch, 1. The animals made both in paradise and earth are the hosts or multitudes of them, which indicates them to be various, yet marshaled, taught, and under direction. How extraordinary is the aggregate of them! But everyone knows and keeps his place. God utilizes them as his hosts for the guard of his kin and the pulverization of his adversaries; for he is the Lord of hosts, of every one of these hosts, Dan. 4:35 . The sky and the earth are done pieces, as are every one of the animals in them. So flawless is God’s work that nothing can be added to it nor taken from it, Eccl. 3:14 . God that started to fabricate showed himself well ready to wrap up. After the finish of the initial six days, God stopped all works of creation. He has so finished his work as that, however, in his provision, he worketh up to this point (Jn. 5:17 ), safeguarding and administering every one of the animals, and especially shaping the soul of a man inside him, yet he doesn’t make any new types of animals. In supernatural occurrences, he has controlled and overruled nature, yet never showed signs of changing its settled course, nor revoked nor added to any of its foundations. 4.

Bible App Commentary of Bible Verses  on the interminable God, however limitlessly cheerful in the delight in himself, yet appreciated crafted by his very own hands. He didn’t rest, as one exhausted, yet as one very much satisfied with the examples of his own integrity and the signs of his own glory.II. The beginning of the kingdom of elegance, in the blessing of the Sabbath day, v. 3. He laid on that day, and took a lack of concern in his animals, and afterward blessed it, and named us, on that day, to rest and take a smugness in the Creator; and his rest is, in the fourth instruction, made a purpose behind our own, following six days’ work. Watch, 1. The serious recognition of one day in seven, as multi-day of blessed rest and sacred work, to God’s respect, is the irreplaceable obligation of every one of those to whom God has uncovered his heavenly sabbaths. The method for sabbath-purification is the great old way, Jer. 6:16 . Sabbaths are as antiquated as the world; and I see no motivation to question that the Sabbath, being currently organized in innocence, was religiously seen by the general population of God all through the man-centric age.

Bible App Commentary of Bible Verses on the Sabbath of the Lord is really noteworthy, and we have the motivation to respect it—respect it for its vestige, its extraordinary Author, the blessing of the primary sabbath by the heavenly God himself, and by our first guardians in innocence, in dutifulness to him. 4. The Sabbath day is an honored day, for God favored it, and that which he favors is honored for sure. God has put respect upon it, has delegated us, on that day, to favor him, and has guaranteed, on that day, to meet us and favor us. 5. The Sabbath day is a heavenly day, for God has purified it. He has isolated and recognized it from whatever is left of the times of the week, and he has blessed it and separate it to himself and his own administration and respect. Despite the fact that it is regularly underestimated that the Christian sabbath we watch, figuring from the creation, isn’t the seventh yet the main day of the week, yet being the seventh day, and we in it, commanding whatever remains of God the Son, and the completing of crafted by our recovery, we may and should act confidence upon this unique organization of the sabbath day, and to celebrate crafted by creation, to the respect of the incomparable Creator, who is along these lines qualified to get, on that day, gift, and respect and acclaim, from every single religious get together.

Bible App Commentary of Bible Verses in Chapter 4-7 In these sections, I. Here is a name given to the Creator which we have not yet met with, and that is Jehovah — the LORD, in capital letters, which are continually utilized in our English interpretation to insinuate that in the first it is Jehovah. From the beginning, in the primary section, he was called Elohim—a God of intensity; however at this point Jehovah Elohim—a God of intensity and flawlessness, a completing God. As we discover him known by his name Jehovah when he seemed to perform what he had guaranteed (Ex. 6:3 ), so now we have him known by that name, when he had culminated what he had started. Jehovah is that extraordinary and incommunicable name of God which indicates his having his being of himself, and his offering being to all things; fitly consequently is he called by that name since paradise and earth are finished.II. Further notice was taken of the generation of plants and herbs since they were made and selected to be sustenance for man, v. 5, v. 6. Here watch, 1. The earth did not deliver its products of itself, by any intrinsic excellence of its own however simply by the god-like intensity of God, which framed each plant and each herb before it developed in the earth. In this way elegance in the spirit, that plant of eminence develops not of itself in nature’s dirt, but rather is crafted by God’s very own hands.

Bible App Commentary of Bible Verses  Genesis 2  contiuned: Rain additionally is the endowment of God; it came not till the Lord God made it rain. On the off chance that rain be needed, it is God that retains it; if rain come copiously in its season, it is God that sends it; on the off chance that it arrives in a separating way, it is God that causeth it to rain upon one city and not upon another, Amos. 4:7 . 3. In spite of the fact that God, conventionally, works by methods, yet he isn’t fixing to them, however when he satisfies he can do his very own work without them. As the plants were delivered before the sun was made, so they were before there was either rain to water the earth or man to till it. In this manner however we should not entice God in the disregard of methods, yet we should confide in God in the need of methods. 4. Somehow God will take care to water the plants that are of his own planting. In spite of the fact that so far there was no rain, God made a fog proportionate to a shower, and with it watered the entire essence of the ground. Subsequently, he satisfied his motivation by the weakest methods, that the excellency of the power may be of God. Divine effortlessness slips like a fog, or quiet dew, and waters the congregation without commotion, Deu. 32:2 .III. An increasingly specific record of the production of man, v. 7. Man is somewhat world, comprising of paradise and earth, soul and body. Presently here we have a record of the root of both and the assembling of both: let us genuinely think about it, and state, to our Creator’s, adulate.

Bible App Commentary of Bible Verses  on psalms 139. We are frightfully and brilliantly made, Ps. 139:14 . Elihu, in the male centric age, alludes to this history when he says (Job. 33:6 ), I additionally am shaped out of the mud, and (v. 4), The breath of the Almighty hath given me life, and ch. 32:8 ), There is a soul in man. Watch then,1. The mean starting point, but then the inquisitive structure, of the group of man. (1.) The issue was abhorrent. He was made of the residue of the ground, an impossible thing to make a man of; however a similar interminable power that made the universe of nothing made man, its artful culmination, of by nothing. He was made of the residue, the little residue, for example, is upon the outside of the earth. Most likely, not dry residue, but rather dust soaked with the fog that went up, v. 6. He was not made of gold-dust, powder of pearl, or jewel dust, yet regular residue, the residue of the ground. Thus he is said to be of the earth,— dusty, 1 Co. 15:47 . What’s more, we additionally are of the earth, for we are his posterity, and of a similar form. So almost a fondness is there between the earth and our natural guardians that our mom’s belly, out of which we were conceived, is known as the earth (Ps. 139:15 ), and the earth, in which we should be covered, is called our mom’s belly, Job. 1:21 . Our establishment is in the earth, Job. 4:19 . Our texture is natural, and its forming like that of an earthen vessel, Job. 10:9 . Our nourishment is out of the earth, Job. 28:5 . Our recognition is with the earth, Job. 17:14 . Our dads are in the earth, and our very own last propensity is to it; and what have we at that point to be glad for? (2.)

Bible App Commentary of Bible Verses  on the following Bible Verses. Yet the Maker was incredible, and the make fine. The Lord God, the extraordinary wellspring of being and power, framed man. Of alternate animals it is said that they were made and made; however of man that he was framed, which signifies a progressive procedure in the work with extraordinary precision and precision. To express the production of this new thing, he takes another word, a word (some think) obtained from the potter’s framing his vessel upon the wheel; for we are the mud, and God the potter, Isa. 64:8 . The assortment of man is inquisitively fashioned, Ps. 139:15, Ps. 139:16 . Material creation—The workmanship surpassed the materials. Give us a chance to show our bodies to God as living penances (Rom. 12:1 ), as living sanctuaries (1 Co. 6:19 ), and afterward, these disgusting bodies will right away be new-shaped like Christ’s radiant body, Phil. 3:21 .2. The high birthplace and the excellent workableness of the spirit of man. (1.) It takes its ascent from the breath of paradise and is delivered by it. It was not made of the earth, as the body might have been; it is a pity then that it ought to sever to the earth and mind natural things. It came promptly from God; he offered it to be put into the body (Eccl. 12:7 ), as a while later he gave the tables of stone of his own composition to be put into the ark, and the Urim of his own encircling to be put into the bosom plate. Thus God isn’t just the previous yet the Father of spirits. Let the spirit which God has inhaled into us inhale after him; and let it be for him since it is from him. Into his hands let us submit our lives.

Bible App Commentary of Bible Veres on he entire earth was presently a heaven contrasted and what it is since the fall and since the flood; the best gardens on the planet are a wild contrasted and what the entire essence of the ground was before it was reviled for the wellbeing of man: yet that was insufficient; God planted a garden for Adam. God’s anointed ones will have recognizing favors appeared. The circumstance of this garden was amazingly sweet. It was in Eden, which connotes joy and joy. The place is here especially called attention to by such checks and limits as were adequate, I assume, when Moses composed, to indicate the place to the individuals who realized that nation; however at this point, it appears, the inquisitive can’t fulfill themselves concerning it. Give it a chance to be our consideration to ensure a place in the radiant heaven, and after that we require not puzzle ourselves with an inquiry after the place of the natural heaven. It is sure that, wherever it was, it had every single alluring accommodation, and (which never any house nor cultivate on earth was) with no comfort. Excellent for circumstance, the delight and the magnificence of the entire earth, was this garden: certainly it was earth in its most astounding perfection.4. The trees with which this garden was planted. (1.) It had all the best and choicest trees in the same way as whatever remains of the ground. It was lovely and decorated with each tree that, for its stature or broadness, its make or shading, its leaf or blossom, was wonderful to the sight and enchanted the eye; it was renewed and enhanced with each tree that yielded organic product appreciative to the taste and helpful to the body, thus useful for nourishment. God, as a delicate Father, counseled not exclusively Adam’s benefit, yet his pleasure; for there is a delight reliable with innocency, nay, there is a valid and extraordinary joy in innocence. God gets a kick out of the success of his hirelings, and would have them simple; it is inferable from themselves on the off chance that they be uneasy. At the point when Providence places us into an Eden of bounty and joy, we should serve him with happiness and energy of heart, in the plenitude of the beneficial things he gives us. In any case, (2.) It had two uncommon trees impossible to miss to itself; on earth there were not their like. [1.] There was the tree of life amidst the garden, which was less an update to him of the wellspring and creator of his life, nor maybe any common way to save or drag out life; however it was essentially expected to be a sign and seal to Adam, guaranteeing him of the duration of life and satisfaction, even to interminability and everlasting delight, through the effortlessness and support of his, endless supply of his tirelessness in this condition of innocence and acquiescence. Of this he may eat and live.

Bible App Commentary of Bible Veres in Chapters 8-15 Man comprising of body and soul, a body made out of the earth and a judicious eternal soul the breath of paradise, we have, in these refrains, the arrangement that was made for the satisfaction of both; he that made him took consideration to fulfill him, on the off chance that he could however have kept himself so and realized when he was wealthy. That piece of man by which he is united to the universe of sense was fulfilled; for he was placed in the heaven of God: that part by which he is unified to the universe of spirits was all around accommodated; for he was taken into contract with God. Master, what is man that he ought to be in this manner stately—man that is a worm! Here we have,I. A depiction of the garden of Eden, which was proposed for the house and demesne of this incredible master, the royal residence of this sovereign. The motivated penman, in this history, composing for the Jews first, and figuring his accounts for the newborn child condition of the congregation, portrays things by their outward reasonable appearances, and abandons us, by further revelations of the perfect light, to be driven into the comprehension of the puzzles framed under them. Otherworldly things were solid meat, which they couldn’t yet bear; yet he keeps in touch with them as unto lewd, 1 Co. 3:1 . In this way he doesn’t such a great amount of demand the satisfaction of Adam’s psyche endless supply of his outward state. The Mosaic history, just as the Mosaic law, has preferably the examples of wonderful things over the great things themselves, Heb. 9:23 . Observe,1. The place named for Adam’s habitation was a garden; not an ivory house nor a castle overlaid with gold, yet a garden, outfitted and embellished naturally, not by craftsmanship. What little reason have men to be pleased with stately and radiant structures, when it was the satisfaction of man in innocency that he required none! As garments came in with transgression did as well, houses. The paradise was the top of Adam’s home, and never was any rooftop so inquisitively ceiled and painted. The earth was his floor, and never was any floor so lavishly trimmed. The shadow of the trees was his retirement; under them were his lounge areas, his cabin rooms, and never were any rooms so finely hung as these: Solomon’s, in the entirety of their brilliance, were not displayed like them. The better we can adjust to plain things, and the less we entertain ourselves with those fake joys which have been imagined to delight men’s pride and extravagance, the closer we way to deal with a condition of innocence. Nature is content with a little and that which is most characteristic, elegance with less, yet desire with nothing.2. The invention and furniture of this garden were the prompt work of God’s intelligence and power. The Lord God planted this garden, is, he had planted it—upon the third day, when the products of the earth were made. We may well assume to have been the most cultivated place for joy and joy that ever the sun saw, when the all-adequate God himself structured it to be the present bliss of his cherished animal, man, in innocence, and a sort and a figure of the joy of the picked leftover in brilliance. No joys can be pleasing nor fulfilling to a spirit however those that God himself has given and designated to it; no evident heaven, yet of God’s planting. The light of our own flames, and the flashes of our own fuel, will before long abandon us out of the loop, Isa. 50:11 . The entire earth was presently a heaven contrasted and what it is since the fall and since the flood; the best gardens on the planet are a wild contrasted and what the entire essence of the ground was before it was reviled for the wellbeing of man: yet that was insufficient; God planted a garden for Adam. Of this he may eat and live. Christ is present to us the tree of life (Rev. 2:7 Rev. 22:2 ), and the bread of life, Jn. 6:48, Jn. 6:53 . [2.] There was the tree of the learning of good and abhorrence, purported, not on the grounds that it had any excellence in it to sire or increment valuable information (without a doubt then it would not have been taboo), but rather, First, Because there was an express positive disclosure of the desire of God concerning this tree, so that by it he may know moral great and insidiousness. What is great? It is great not to eat of this tree. What is insidious? It is malicious to eat of this tree. The refinement between all other good great and fiendishness was written in the core of man ordinarily; yet this, which came about because of positive law, was composed upon this tree. Besides, Because, on the occasion, it demonstrated to give Adam test information of good by its loss and of fiendishness by its feeling. As the contract of elegance has in it, Believe and be spared, as well as, Believe not and be doomed (Mk. 16:16 ), so the pledge of innocence had in it, not just “Do this and live,” which was fixed and affirmed by the tree of life, at the same time, “Come up short beyond words,” Adam was guaranteed of by this other tree: “Contact it at your danger;” so that, in these two trees, God set before him great and abhorrence, the gift and the revile, Deu. 30:19 . These two trees were as two sacraments.5. The streams with which this garden was watered, v. 10-14. These four waterways (or one waterway stretched into four streams) contributed much both to the charm and the productivity of this garden. The place that is known for Sodom is said to be very much water all over the place, as the garden of the Lord, ch. 13:10 . Watch, That which God plants he will take care to keep watered. The trees of nobility are set by the waterways, Ps. 1:3 . In the magnificent heaven there is a waterway vastly outperforming these; for it is a stream of the water of life, not leaving Eden, as this, but rather continuing out of the position of royalty of God and of the Lamb (Rev. 22:1 ), a stream that makes happy the city of our God, Ps. 46:4 . Hiddekel and Euphrates are waterways of Babylon, which we read of somewhere else. By these the hostage Jews sat down and sobbed when they recollected Sion (Ps. 137:1 ); yet methinks they had considerably more motivation to sob (thus have we) at the recognition of Eden. Adam’s heaven was their jail; such pathetic work has sin made. Of the place that is known for Havilah it is said (v. 12), The gold of that arrive is great, and there is bdellium and the onyx-stone: clearly this is referenced that the abundance of which the place that is known for Havilah bragged may be as thwart to that which was the greatness of the place where there is Eden. Havilah had gold, and flavors, and valuable stones; however Eden had what was interminably better the tree of life, and fellowship with God. So we may state of the Africans and Indians: “They have the gold, yet we have the gospel. The gold of their territory is great, however, the wealth of our own are limitlessly better.”II. The setting of man in this heaven of pleasure, v. 15, where observe,1. How God place him possessing it: The Lord God took the man, and place him into the garden of Eden; so v. 8, v. 15. Note here, (1.) Man was made out of heaven; for, after God had framed him, he placed him into the garden: he was made of normal dirt, not of heaven dust. He lived out of Eden before he lived in it, that he may see that every one of the solaces of his heaven state were attributable to God’s free elegance. He couldn’t argue an occupant directly to the garden, for he was not conceived upon the premises, nor had anything besides what he got; all gloating was thusly forever avoided. (2.) a similar God that was the creator of his being was the creator of his rapture; a similar hand that made him a living soul planted the tree of life for him and settled him by it. He that made us is separated from everyone else ready to satisfy us; he that is the previous of our bodies and the Father of our spirits, he, and none yet he, can viably accommodate the felicity of both. Otherworldly things were solid meat, which they couldn’t yet bear; yet he keeps in touch with them as unto lewd, 1 Co. 3:1 . In this way, he doesn’t such a great amount of demanding the satisfaction of Adam’s psyche endless supply of his outward state. The Mosaic history, just as the Mosaic law, has preferably the examples of wonderful things over the great things themselves, Heb. 9:23 .

Bible App Commentary of Bible Veres  on place named for Adam’s habitation was a garden; not an ivory house nor a castle overlaid with gold, yet a garden, outfitted and embellished naturally, not by craftsmanship. What little reason have men to be pleased with stately and radiant structures, when it was the satisfaction of man in innocence that he required none! The light of our own flames and the flashes of our own fuel will before long abandon us out of the loop, Isa. 50:11 . The entire earth was presently a heaven contrasted and what it is since the fall and since the flood; the best gardens on the planet are a wild contrasted and what the entire essence of the ground was before it was reviled for the wellbeing of man: yet that was insufficient; God planted a garden for Adam. God’s anointed ones will have to recognize favors appeared.

Bible App Commentary of Bible Veres  on the Garden: The circumstance of this garden was amazingly sweet. Excellent for circumstance, the delight and the magnificence of the entire earth, was this garden: certainly, it was earth in its most astounding perfection.4. In any case, (2.) It had two uncommon trees impossible to miss to itself; on earth, there were not their like. [1.]

Bible App Commentary of Bible Veres on the tree of Life. There was the tree of life amidst the garden, which was less an update to him of the wellspring and creator of his life, nor maybe any common way to save or drag out life; however it was essentially expected to be a sign and seal to Adam, guaranteeing him of the duration of life and satisfaction, even to interminability and everlasting delight, through the effortlessness and support of the, endless supply of his tirelessness in this condition of innocence and acquiescence. Besides, Because, in the occasion, it demonstrated to give Adam test information of good by its loss and of fiendishness by its feeling. 1:3 .

Bible App Commentary of Bible Veres in the heavenly state. (2.) a similar God that was the creator of his being was the creator of his rapture; a similar hand that made him a living soul planted the tree of life in him, and settled him by it. He that made us is separated from everyone else ready to satisfy us; he that is the previous of our bodies and the Father of our spirits, he, and none yet he, can viably accommodate the felicity of both.
