The King James Bible was first published in 1611 via an edict from the King England, King James. However, what many people don’t know, is that in England during the 14th and 15th centuries, the only written Bible was either in Latin or Greek. Another things most do not know, was there was a law in England that made it a crime, punishable by death, for anyone who wrote or spoke the Bible in English. During that time many disobeyed that law, and those who were caught were sent to prison and later, put to death by burning at the stake. Below is a link to a couple of very interesting videos. One is a story of William Tyndale and how we got our first published English Bible. This is a short 28-minute video about William Tyndale’s effort to translate, and illegally publish and distribute, the Bible in English in 15th century England. William Tyndale was eventually captured and was burned at the stake for his crime of translating and distributing the Bible in English. His translated Bible would eventually become the 1611 King James Bible. This video will give all that watch it a new appreciation for the King James Bible and the people who gave their lives so we could have a Bible in English.
The second, video is a short video about why the King James Bible is still the best and most accurate English Bible on the the market today. Revelation 22:19 says this: “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
Most people don’t know there are presently over 100 different English versions of the Bible in print today. Why are there so many different translations? Are the new translations better than the King James Bible? Do they all say the same thing? To understand the answers to the above questions, you first have to understand that The King James Bible is not copyrighted. Therefore, anyone can print and distribute it, or record and distribute the recording. But, if you take the King James Bible and change it 10%, then you can get a copyright on the new translation and make money on its manufacturing and distribution.
So the answer to the first question about why are there over 100 different translations of the English Bible today, is that it’s all about money and how to make money off of a new copyrighted English Bible. Do you remember the story about when Jesus beat the money changes out of the Temple? That was all about money as well.
The answer to the second question, are these new translations any better than the KJV Bible? That answer is NO. The third question, do they all say the same thing? That answer is a resounding NO. I think we all would agree that two statements that say something different are not the same. The Video below about why the King James Bible is still the best and most accurate, clearly shows you that simple truth. The video gives specific examples of Bible verses in the King James Bible and a newer translation that are saying different things.
Take a few short minutes and watch these two powerful videos about the origins of the King James Bible, and how it compares to the newer translations. You will discover why the King James Bible is still the most accurate Holy Bible version on the market. We guarantee you two things, (1) you will learn some new truths you never knew before, and (2), it will give you a new appreciation for the original Word of God, the King James Bible.

A friend gave a gift card to download the Scourby Bible App this past Christmas, and I have to tell you that was the best Christmas gift I ever got Seriously the Bible apps as so many cool features, including sharing features, that I love to send and people love to get. Of course what really makes the Bible app the greatest is The golden voice of Alexander Scourby. There’s something about combining that invoice with the poetic King James Bible. I seem to get a lot more out ofThe Bible when I hear it and can read it at the same time.

the King James Holy Bible is the only Bible I use. All the other versions are corrupted. Alexander Scourby is the only Bible narrator I listen to, all others are second best. Love the playlist feature on the You Bible App, no other Bible app has the feature. The sharing feature is great, love to share Bible verses along with a note. The Bible Search feature is awesome, get so many nice comments back from people. Thanks much for a great Bible App

Question how often do you upgrade the features on the Bible App? Are each of the Bible Verses in a separate Mp3 file? When you buy the Audio Bible mp3 download, can you upload that to iTunes on your phone?
Thanks for Getting back to me

I have been listening to Alexander Scourby for years. I just came from scourby.com and was listening to a number of selected Bible Verses narrated by Scourby. I never get tired of that Voice. He is truly the Voice of the Bible. I got an Android Bible app from your site and took advantage of the 50% off on all other downloads and got a number of items, including the Audio Bible mp3 download for my computer. Just wanted to drop you a line about the King James Bible App. I think it’s the best Bible App on the market and I tried a number of them over the years. I have found the best and don’t need the rest. About 10 years ago, before there were any iPhone Bible Apps, I bought the Scourby Audio Bible as an Mp3 download for my computer and Mp3 player. Before that, I bought them on CD’s and in the 1980’s I bought the Scourby Bible on cassettes. I even have a set of the Scourby Bible on long play records. I think I telling my age now, but I have been listening to Alexander Scourby read the Bible for a very long time. He was the first to narrator the Bible and no one has been able to do it better. I feel like I have grown up with Alexander Scourby and he’s like part of my family.
Thank you for keeping Scourby Bible on the cutting edge of technology.

I Bought the King James Version of the Bible on 60 CD a few years ago for $79.95. I just both the Bible App for my iPhone and also the Audio Bible mp3 for my computer. The Scourby Bible App is the best and has features no other app has. Can’t say enough about Alexander Scourby and the way he narrates the Bible. He’s the best narrator in the World.
Couldn’t agree with you more about the King James Bible and Scourby. Together they are very powerful and I get so much more meaning out of the Bible.
Have to say I just love the King James Bible. I have been reading it for years and was thrilled to get a Scourby Bible App some years ago. What a wonderful blessing it has been in my life. Early in the 70, I got the Scourby recording on cassette tapes and then on CD’s and then I got a digital download of the Audio Bible Mp3 and finally the Bible APP. I really like all the features in the app and one have the Bible right no my phone. I love the Bible App more that my iPhone. But the Bible app on the iPhone is just the best.
The King James holy Bible app is my favorite. I’ve tried to others, But I always come back to the Alexander scourby narration of the KJV Bible App.
My King James Bible Audio is he best purchase I ever made. My Bible App download was for my mp3 player so I could listen to the Bible while jogging. Can’t tell you how much more invigorating my run is while listen to the Audio Bible.
King James Bible online is the best. I download the the KJV Bible App for my iPhone and it’s my No 1 App for my Phone. it’s great having it with me wherever I go. Theology Degrees was right, the Bible App is worth more than the device. I absolutely love listening to the daily Bible Verses as well as the bible verse of the day. I can’t tell you how many times that daily Bible verse seemed to be just for me.
